Canadian Author
Elizabeth Whitten is a journalist based in St. John's and her first book, a history of comic books in Newfoundland and Labrador, is now out through Engen Books. She tracked the creation of NL's first comic book Zeitgeist, which was made by two teenagers, and all the other comic books that came after. That includes Captain Newfoundland, Don K. Hoty of La Manche, Sherlock Platypus, and many more! Her book includes interviews with award winning comic book artists like Mike Feehan, Paul Tucker and Kelly Bastow, and how Wallace Ryan became the ‘Godfather of Newfoundland Comics.' Off Panel will also be available for purchase at her table, so please drop by for a chat! Elizabeth is here courtesy of her publisher Engen Books
