From cosplay to creature effects.
From blue scales and gills, to large fluffy creatures and dinosaurs, Cassie Seaboyer is an artist that enjoys many different mediums and the art of bringing imagination to life.
Cassie has just finished her last year at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary along with a minor in illustration. Cassie has also started an apprenticeship with the studio DevoFX and is greatly enjoying the experience.
As a kid, Cassie grew up watching Jurassic Park and Star Wars. Fascinated by the puppetry involved with the films, most of her inspiration stems from the work of Stan Winston Studios and Legacy Effects.
Cassie recently began working large scale with puppets and hopes to bring more creatures to the convention scene for crowds to interact with.
When she isn't painted blue and covered in scales or carrying around a large Bird dog puppet (Trico), Cassie enjoys playing video games, playing bagpipes with local Halifax bands, and watching dinosaur documentaries.
